VanVoorst > Day 1 - Wolf Creek Resort:
There was so much snow that we decided to wear our avalanche beacons and carry our shovels. We didn't go into the back country, with all of the new snow, the avalanche danger was too high. It didn't matter because we could find untracked trees all day.

VanVoorst > Justin
VanVoorst > Day 2 - Wolf Creek Resort:
16"+ over night

Over half of the mountain was off limits as you had to be on steep slopes just to get going.

Justin & I had just come down a steep slope and had only a small flat area to cross to get back to the groomed slope. We didn't make it. This is how deep the snow was when you got stopped in it (Justin is standing on his board)
VanVoorst > Justin after stepping off his board. This is not an isolated deep pocket. Everything that was not groomed or tracked up was this deep. You can see the people behind Justin coming down the trail, we didn't have to "swim" too far to get back to the groomed run.

We were riding slopes so steep that I could easily reach straight out and touch the snow as I was making turns.
